During my years of active surgical practice in Chicago, I always had a workshop, where I could make or fix things. This was often in the basement of our home; and later was actually a free-standing “real” shop, where I could follow my fancy to make things, fix things needing repair, or do various sorts of art work.  One of those things became my main focus of effort and creativity… and that is the making of horse sculptures from driftwood and other discarded materials.
